I have done a search on pups eating poo and the pumpkin thing keeps coming up.The question is do I use the seeds, whole or crushed, or the flesh. My pup is 10 wks old and hubby caught him eating his poo and it made hubby retch(he has a weak tum) so I need to stop this quickly otherwise I'll be cleaning up after both of them. Not nice!!

I think you will find pumpkin is used in the USA for this "problem"with dog's natural behaviour & as most of the posters are in the UK they would not be able to answer your question

However I would think it would be the flesh rather than anything else but that is a guess

pumpkin (usually tinned) is used more often for cases of diarrhoea. I doubt very much if it will have an impact on your poop eating dog.

He could be eating it because he is bored, it appears attractive to him even when recycled, habit etc etc etc.

Clear up as soon as the puppy has defaecated so that he does not have the opportunity.
