When we get Tara's foot healed, I expect that we will have to use some sort of boot to protect it (maybe permanently). Does anyone have any experience of them (I've seen a couple on the internet and they sell Mikki boots at our Pets at Home) ? She's an active Aussie and hopefully will be able to go back to agilty (even if only gently) :)

"Proactive paws" dog boots have a great website, you measure your dogs foot so they fit correctly, I used them for my dogs when they went through a stage of cutting their pads, found them excelllent.  I used them in agility too, but they do not have quite the same grip as the dogs own pads

Thanks, that is what I was wanting to hear :) That is one of the sites that I have been looking at :) They look better than the Mikki boots.

Don't know yet how long it will be before Tara might be able to wear one, but want to be prepared :)

Dont even bother with the Mikki boots we got them when Abby sliced one of her pads open they didnt stay on very well and had a really hard piece in the bottom. Cheap and nasty I found IMO.
