I have a litter of Weimaraner pups which are 10 days old and one of them is having illuminous yellow poos. All the others are doing normal coloured ones is this anything to be worried about or will it turn normal on it's own once they have stopped having their mothers milk and have food? All the pups are in great condition and the vet checked them out once they were born and they are ok.

Could it be worms ?

Hi,
No it's not worms. It looks like scrambled eggs when it comes out.

Hi,
It sounds like the puppy is not digesting her milk well. Could be a problem-could be it is just a little pig and is getting too much! Does it seem normal otherwise? If it continues for 24 hours, I would certainly check with a vet. Tiny puppies cannot deal with much stress.

Not keen on eggs - specially scrambled LOL - Hope the pup is OK. My son had a similar thing happen as an infant - turned out he had a virus. I'd contact the vet, to put my mind at rest.

Hi,
Been to the vet and she said he is ok just a bit de-hydrated and is probably not getting in to get the milk as the others are all much bigger and push him out of the way. I have started feeding him extra milk with a bottle and he loves rice pudding/custard and weetabix so his poo is getting back to normal same as the others now.
Thanks for all your advice.
