The BVA site has some info, just put BVA into Google. OCD into Google will get you lots of results too. Definitely if OCD is suspected get referred to a good specialist, where are you in the country, I know 2 good ones, one in Guildford, Surrey and one in North Hertfordshire but there are obviously others, my pup was diagnosed with FCP (another genetic disorder of the joints) and he had a major op approx 13 weeks ago and you would not believe the difference, he is free running and has not showed any lameness for weeks now. He is also on a glucosamine canine supplement. Insurance should cover it all, PM or email me if I can be of any help
Good luck!

My friends Rottie "pup" was diagnosed with OCD at 7 months old, she is now 8 years old and completely fine. They had the joint "drained", had her spayed, and she has led a completely normal since. Hope this brings you some comfort!, it does not need to be a death sentence or painful life id treated properly.
