I'm going to the new forest county show tommorrow, its only 20 mins away from me, and i'm only going to stay for a few hours. But i can't decide if i should take my two dogs with me. I think it would be good socialisation for them. Meg is 2 and a half (BC) and Ellie is 15 months. (GR). What do you think? I don't want to take them if it is going to cause problems. What would you do?

i would take them both and see how you go.if you have any problems just leave early.you could have a great time with both but you won't know unless you try.good luck, let us know how it goes.

Ok, i decided to take them and have survived the ordeal! They weren't bad at all, ellie pulled all the time,  (I swear my arms are longer!) and wanted to eat every bit of food that was on the ground, but they behaved themselves. It is quite amaxing how many people will just put their hands on htem as the walk past, not even asking if they are friendly (Luckily they were absolutely perfect), although neither were keen on the other dogs getting too close.
I am absolutely knackered but had a great time, i saw a bloodhound demonstration, beagle and foxhound demonstration, gundog demonstration and a sheepdog demonstration and bought a doggy bed for the back of the car. So all in all it was a good day out, mind you - i only intended to stay for a few hours, we got there at 11 and didn't leave until 6!

so it proves you were having a good time.  :-) the amount of people that do that, touch dogs as they walk past we get that alot.as for food people don't seem to know what a bin is these days even though theres one not far away.
im glad you had a good day and in the company of them both, your'll have to measure your arms next time, just thing of it as working the muscles.
