You can try Naturediet lite, order it directly from them in quantity and the price is cheaper. They have a web site if your are interested in learning about it before you buy.

Naturediet is .59p pack at Pets at Home and I'm guessing your Sharpei would need about 2-1/2 to 3 packs a day, so in any case it's going to be cheaper.  I get by mine from Surrey Pet Food warehouse and it's about 45p per pack.

Your current diet that has been prescribed contains the following:

Water, egg product, corn meal, chicken, cracked pearled barley, pork liver, powdered cellulose, chicken liver flavor, vegetable oil, taurine, L-tryptophan, L-carnitine, minerals (calcium sulfate, potassium chloride, calcium carbonate, salt, zinc oxide, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganous oxide, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), beta-carotene, vitamins (choline chloride, vitamin D3 supplement vitamin E supplement, ascorbic acid(a source of vitamin C), thiamine mononitrate, niacin, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement).

You might find switching to Naturediet or Burns a better alternative combined with a multi strain probiotic or at least live yoghurt every day along with some digestive enzymes, Fish body oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin C.  These will have an anti inflammatory effect.  You may also find product like Dorwest Tree Bark Powder helpful in soothing the gut.

I do not feel that it is helpful to feed any dog suffering from colitis a lot of grains or dairy products (bear in mind that "chicken liver flavour" may actually be a milk protein), salt and if you add your own vitamins they should be natural rather than synthetic.
