I am going on holiday on 10th August for one week and was relying on my friend to look after my 14 month old westie.  Unfortunately, she has now booked her holiday for the same week and I am stuck as to where cindy can go.  I am veering towards pet sitters rather than kennels so can anyone recommend a good pet sitting company in the Sidcup area in Kent.  I have heard so many conflicting stories about boarding kennels and pet sitters that I would rather go with one that comes highly recommended. I know it is late in the day and I may not be able to book with those recommended but any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Have you tried the company Animal aunts. They have helped me out a few times. They have a list of people who love animals and will look after your pet in their home or yours. I have used the company 3 times so far all but one of the aunts had a dog proof garden. You can pay them a visit before your holiday too.

I live in Bexleyheath and I am using a lady in Locksbottom - her web site is "Petbuddies.co.uk", she is registered with the National Association of Registered Petminders.  Mind you the telephone number on the website has not been updated.  She is insured and she charges £15.00 per day.  I went over with my dog and met her.  If she cannot do it then there is another site "Woof-Petsitters.co.uk" - this lady is called Annie and she is very helpful.  I was let down 2 weeks ago and needed someone desperately to look after my dobermann (also he is a 6 month old puppy which is a bit of a problem) - Annie gave me about 5 different numbers.  I will go onto the website now and post the number of Annie for you and she will give you Julie's (who I am using) number.  If you need anymore information on this post another e-mail and I will look at it in the morning and respond.

I hope this is helpful.

Okay its me again - "Petbuddies.co.uk" this is Julie I have a mobile number but her phone number I have at home - anyway her mobile is "07984 281357".

Woof-Petsitters.co.uk - this is Annie - "annie2101@btinternet.com" her mobile number is on the website "07957 611712".  Her home number is at home with my paperwork.  If you do not get any joy here - I do have another 3 numbers of people in the Orpington area.

I have a lady called "Christine" who lives near Orpington High Street and she had my dog for a weekend but she couldn't have him for  my main holiday.

Don't forget e-mail me if you don't have any luck and I will e-mail you the other numbers.
