As soon as they complete their puppy vaccinations....about 16 - 20 weeks. Start working on a few little obedience skills (sit, down, come along with you, etc) and socializing right away though. Just be careful where you take your pup, not heavily populated places....gotta watch out for parvo and such, but the socialization is the most important thing to do and do before 16 weeks. Good luck!
OH! I just re-read that you have two pups! Well, that will be a chore. Best wishes.

Would advise training the pups separately if at all possible, walking separately too when they are old enough. You will have your work cut out, are you using them in the field.
EDIT: sorry just reread, thought they were Springers now I am not sure if it is a typo or one of these designer crosses.

Springador Jackie, SpringerXLabrador Used by some working gundog people although I've never quite been able to see why because the two breeds were bred for totally different jobes of work. The Labrador, the no slip retriever and the Springer, the hunting dog. Some I must say do combine those talants but most I've seen seem to be a jack of all trades but master of none.

I suppose it's my age but I believe Spaniels hunt, pointers point and retrievers retrieve and if you want a single dog to fulfil all these rolls then what you need is an HPR as typified by the continental gundogs.
Best wishes, John
Some classes accept pups from the first vaccination, usually about 8 weeks, providing that you carry them to and from the classes. 2 pups together are likely to me quite hard work, so i would suggest that you start a class as soon as you can. Good luck!

Hi guest, as everyone above has said, take your pups to training classes asap after vacs. Having two pups the same age is not double but more like 3 times the work. Training is not only done at classes once a week, you have to keep the training ongoing daily. My two pups are now 5 months old, two day difference in age, and although training is only 10-15 mins daily it can take up to three hours out of my day, be prepared for this. My daily training routine, with interuptions for lunch etc. is as follows. 5.30am Get up. Stop puppies rough play, constantly!!! 6.30am feed all dogs. In between stopping rough play and puppies trying to climb stairs, do domestic chores. Hah. if only. 11am drive dogs to woods. one puppy on lead, for 5 mins, and change over for app. half of walk. 2 pups off lead for max 5 mins for play, NOT ROUGH, this must be stopped. both pups on lead back to car, total time for 20 mins walk = 1 hour. Two older dogs run free during all of this time. Spend most of the day distracting pups from rough play. Mid afternoon obedience work of 10 mins with each pup, seperately with a cup of tea in between takes up nearly 40 mins. 7pm evening walk, one pup at a time, as road pounding and walking to heel at all times, this is impossible to do with two pups together, as one WILL want to lead. A 25min round trip and straight into the garden for a little obedience work. This has to be repeated with 2nd pup so a 25min walk with one pup turns into one and a quarter hours for two. 9pm evening feed. 10.30 bed for them and a well earned cup of tea for me. This also has to be arranged around ringcraft and obedience classes for both, and gundog training classes for one.Be prepared for a lot of hard work. BUT believe me it is worth it, Both for you and the pups. You only get out what you put in. Bye the way my lot are labs. Good luck and enjoy them.
