I feel really bad Sam keeps getting on the garden all I seem to say is 'off the garden' he knows exactly what it means but thinks its a big game.Well the watering  can was a  bit too handy so I drenched him, well more myself really and now I feel really guilty.

LOL. Don't worry so much. (chuckle chuckle) Hey, it's called "natural consequences" or condition - (going into the garden) response (getting soaked). LOL. As long as you're not unduly angry or anything, that shouldn't hurt a thing. He might like baths less, but we all know most dogs hate baths anyway. My Lab will go into any and all bodies of water she can find. But prepare a bath (nice, warm water)....."Oh my GAWD! she's trying to murder me!" LOL.

Have you tried half-filling the bath with muddy, cold water??  Might help to condition the dog to it, you can then add more warm clean water as time goes on :D  :D

OMG! I couldn't bear to throw mud in my bathtub. LOL. What a riot! Of course, it isn't all that gleaming when the dogs are through with their baths. I think they just don't like the scary white, enclosed place. I just have a heart to heart with them and explain that this is just one of those things that humans make them do and they will just have to deal with it. LOL.

You should have seen one my horses when she got a bath. She would be just fine while the hose was on her, but as soon as she saw the suds running off her rump, she thought she was being murdered. It took a while to convince her that bubbles do not kill. LOL.

The funny thing is, my girl Chihuahua actually loves a nice, warm, relaxing bubble bath. (Just kidding....no bubble bath)But that's done in the kitchen sink. She is soooo easy to bathe.

But thanks for the idea! I think I'll pass on that one this time. LOL!

Guilty!  Hey, the only way I can keep Copper from smelling like a 50 year old bad dog fresh from a rain storm is to sprinkle him with the watering can.  Glare?  Oh yes, evil eye supreme.  How I would love to dip him in a radox bath with a bit of molton brown to freshen him up.  But even I'm not that cruel :D
