is this site hard to get on or what!! lol. thanks to the lady who helped me! after several failed attempts to join on aol I finally set up a hotmail acount, then i kept getting a mesage saying I had to enable cookies (the only kind of cookie id heard of before was the kind eaten by green shaggy monsters in rubbish bins!!!!) anyway, i had no idea how to enable a cookie, so i had to go to the online aol help, and the very kind person there helped me, so here I am!!
hello all and I hope to be sharing some doggy banter with you all from now on!

Hi i own 1 staffie and i am getting a pup a week on sun! whats a bandogge?
By russett1
Date 23.07.04 19:39 UTC
a bandogge is a crossbred between mastiff breeds, usually a mix of bullmastiff/pitbull, or pitbull/neao mastiff, they are very popular in america. the name comes from a saxon word "banda" meaning bound or chained watchdog. they are very large guarding dogs, my dog is a mixture of amstaff/neao and great dane so he's quite an impressive fellah!!!

hes more white than blue, but he has nice markings. hes my pride and joy. he was a really gangly pup but he has grown up into a real handsome fellah. he struts about the yard as though he is the bees knees! he sooo good with the other dogs too, he lets them run rings round him, hes just a big docile gentle giant!!! :-)

What colour are your staffies?
By russett1
Date 23.07.04 20:16 UTC
all various shades of red, hence the name, russett, thats what our oldest dog is called! :-) not a very tough name for a staffie I know, but he was such a lovely colour as a pup, it seemed like the perfect name!

Hi Russett1
I'm another Stafford owner on this board.
I have 3 Staffies. A red bitch, Ruby, whose 4yrs, her son Toesy 17 months is also red, and a tiger brindle bitch Rio, who is 9 months.
I show Toesy and Rio regular.
Do you show any of your dogs.

no, ive never been to a dog show in my life. Its just something that has never appealed to me. plus, my staffies would never win any prizes anyway as they are the big type which would probably be well over the height limit. I have a couple of boarding customers who show their dogs, but Its just not my cup of tea.
