Hi!

Can I pick your brains? What is an acceptable hip score for a German Shepherd Dog? My friend has purchased a puppy from a breeeder and the father has a score of 5/5, I don't know what the mother's is.

That is an extremely acceptable score :D

The breed mean score is 19 total, so as low is good and high is bad, a 10 (5+5) is very acceptable!

If the dam has been scored it should be on the puppies registration documents. Know you did not ask that but thought you friend would like to know.
