You could try putting the names in the third generation in a search engine to see if there is any info on the web about them. Gillian

Or you could try phoning the breeder and asking :)

hi Julie
A good place to try as well, is www.worldpedigrees.com and click onto the link of cavaliers and search away.
Good luck woth your search, i have spent am amny hour on looking myself.

Not wanting to put a downer on things, but you have no way of confirming if the pedigree you have bears any relationship to reality, as there is no way of confirming the backgropund as with KC registrations where all the data is on KC file.

If the breeder has registration papers all than she does is ring the KC quoting the registration number and asking for the pedigree to be sent. Think you can go as far back as you pay for. If no dog is KC registered then, as Brainless says, you have no way of knowing if even those you have been given are correct as other registration companies let you make up the pedigree for yourself, and it is easy to use any name that comes to mind.
