some dogs steal food??? I have 3 elkies ...the older 2 do not and never have stolen food even though the older one is very food motivated.
The puppy however would steal the food from your mouth. He is now getting big enough to steal off the kitchen sides...and does and will jump on any food dropped on the floor as if his life depends upon it.
Don't want to discourage his food obsession as we bait in the ring but must say he has been a bit of an eye opener!! He nicked the kids pizza(12 inch) off the kitchen side yesterday...no wonder hes 'portly' lol

Having the same trouble with my last pup. Puts front feet on the worktop and tries to jump the back ones up. He was also very difficult to get of 3 meals a day, when at 8 months I decided that he could eat enough at 2 meals and stopped the last one of the day, he spent the next week sitting in the kitchen all evening complaining. Blame the Americans myself ;)
