Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Not drinking enough

I am concerned that my two dogs are not drinking enough.   I feed them dry food and always put water with it but they don't very often look for more water even when they have been out for a long walk.    I am worried that they might have problems with their kidneys as they get older, also, their motions are quite solid because of the lack of moisture.   Can anyone advise please.

Thier motions should be solid.

A dog on dry food of 20kg should be drinking around a litre of water a day.  How much water are you putting with the food?  If you keep a water bowl down at all times, changing the water twice a day at least they should drink what they need.  if it was one dog I would think there might be a problem but with two I suspect they dri8nk as much as they need.  do you have a water source on their normal walks, like a river.  This might account for them seeming not mto drink?
