Can anyone tell me wether its possible to show a dog who has had an operation to correct entropian I always thought it was a no no but I heard from someone today said its ok and they are going to show such a dog

You have to ask KC permission and I have yet to hear of anyone gaining permission Mattie

Thats what I thought they think because the KC insurance paid out on the op and the lady on the phone said it was ok that its ok :( dont want to burst their bubble but then again would hate them to get in trouble

Someone near me had a cavalier operated on & never told the KC but claimed on their insurance-her dog was banned from being shown & bred from & she was "politely warned"re having dogs operated on & not telling the KC as the op was one they normally do not give permission to show or breed from afterwards She wondered how the KC found out :O

Will check some Gazettes for you tonight, but I would also doubt it.  The KC sometimes grant 'temporary permission to show without prejudice' pending a later decision - maybe this is what they've been told.  Would expect the later decision to be no though with entropion.

Marina

Edited to add, this does assume they've told the KC ;)
