Hi, Molly this week, has been really itchy, I have increased the amount of atarax to two tablets three times a day, but , it has not helped, I read that dogs can go through detox, when changing to a raw diet, her skin, looks different this week, she had white flakes before, now she has some small yellow crusts, here and their along her back just a few, and also the odd red pin head spot, I phoned the vet, she is going to give me maleseb shampoo (I haven't used that before) was using quistel.
I am feeding her raw chicken, and various supplements, should I stop the supplements, or is this normal what she is going through ? (I have tried spraying her with organic cider vinegar).
Molly has only ever itched along her back and spine , gradually itching has increased from neck to tail, top of her head, she has never really had hot spots, just itching and hairloss due to scratching, but no foot chewing or sore ears. Could this be yeast ? (if it is should I be feeding above ground veggies only, and no fruit, also naturezyme contains sugar)
anyone else experienced these problems? thanks for any help eleanor

I've had two flatcoats with something similar in the last fortnight. It came very quickly indeed. I've got a feeling that they may have picked up rabbit mites or some such, as they both roll in rabbit poo.
One needed antibiotic, as she had yellow pustules in the flakes, the other seems to have cleared up overnight after I powdered him with Farmyard powder and Thornit. Both fine now, and I still don't know what it was.
Washing all bedding etc just in case, but all seems fine again. Weird.
