hi,
Ive just been reading the awful post about E & L insurance its completely discusting!!!you pay your premiums every month and expect that if your pet(god forbid)ever gets ill your covered.
Its made me think!!!!!
My question,im just changing to M & S insurance,as they sound really good, can i get feedback on what they are like, has anyone had experiences with them good or bad(im hoping youll all put my minds at rest!!)

I've just taken a policy out with M&S for Libby - fingers crossed not had to use them yet :)

Although with all the current talk of restructuring with M&S and selling various sectors of the company off I hope this wont also include the insurance part

It probably will, as the pet insurance part is probably connected to the 'finance' part
which is being sold off...
Shame as it was one of the options that I was also considering..

I have 1 of my dogs insured with M & S, & they have been brilliant, paid out quickly, comprehensive cover, v helpful, freefone numbers to contact them etc etc. Considering changing my other dog to their cover from Petplan as the renewal with Petplan is so expensive & also the excess has gone up to £70, even though a pre-existing condition would not be covered by M & S.

Hi there

I posted something similar to this on the other insurance thread, but I thought this might help.  I'm a head nurse at a practice in London, and we've generally had no problems with M&S insurance, but with the restructuring it might be wise to avoid them.  I would recommend More Than, in my experience (both with the practice and with my own animals) they have been superb.  Premiums, excesses etc differ vastly depending on where you live, so it's probably worth speaking to your nurse as he/she will have "local knowledge".

Good luck
