Unlike the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, King Charles Spaniels are by no means a common breed, so you will have to be prepared to go a a waiting list, and probably have to travel a long way, although there is one listed in Tyne and Wear.
What is the difference between the two breeds?? I must admit, until recently I thought they where one and the same However, in my defence, Spaniels aren't 'my' breed.
No particular reason, just curious really.

They really are very different to look at, particularly in the head, dare not tell you what I normally say but believe me they look very different.
LOLOLOLOL they were originally the same breed but the Victorians(especially the ladies0perferred their lap dogs with flat more human faces so the muzzles were bred shorter. Then in the twenties an american came over & was surprised t see what had happened to the breed so offered a prize for the best dog that looked more like the dogs from the 15th to 18th century & the Cavalier was on its way as a separate breed
There were originally two breed back in the 15th Century the Royal Spaniel & the Blenheim spaniel(the parti colours)belonging to the Chrurchills(who lived at Blenheim palace)
Originally both Cavaliers & Charlies were docked too
