Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / puppy training pads

Hi
I wonder if anybody can help I have just heard of these puppy training pads that have a scent on them to attract the puppy to go there.  Do they really work?  Has anybody successfully trained their pup on them?
Thanks

Guest, don't do it, nothing is going to replace your taking your puppy outside when appropriate and every hour between. Puppy training pads are teaching your pup to relieve it's self inside, and why would your want to do that.

Definately don't do it.  I've said this before but all my puppy class people who are having trouble with toilet training have started puppy on puppy pads indoors. BAD IDEA.

Should you wish to use puppy pads(and the choice is yours), yes, they do work very well and are much better than newspaper. I always prefer to train my dogs to go outside, and get up in the night to them, but they know how to use the pads too, when we go different places.

i used them and yes they work but the problem is my dog is a year old and still now she will go through phrases of weeing in doors and she always goes on a rug and its because she was trained on puppy pads she thinks she has to go on something that feels soft and cotton like so my opinion is don't touch them with a barge pole they are a crap idea!!
