I've had my Westie for a year and a half, and recently he has started whining, and even barking early in the morning. Why is he doing it? What can I do to stop him? He does have a massive attachment problem to me, he follows me everywhere, when I sit down he has to have a paw on my foot in case I move, he has always been like this with me but the whining is a recent thing.
He has the run of the kitchen and dining room at night.
Help am at my wits end!

Most strange. My westie has also started barking at about 5:00 in the morning and then joins us on the bed for a snooze (after he's woken us up!). He is also clingy and has recently been more so with my missus, but I put that down to a hormonal thing as he is now the equivalen age as a 14 year old boy. Yes, he's turned into Kevin.
