Hi all
I have 2 dogs, 7month old lab and 11 week old bullmastiff both are currently fed on eukanuba puppy for large breeds. I want to change their diet for 2 reasons, 1, euk is really expensive and 2, my lab never stops pooing. She must go about 6 times a day.

I have read lots of posts on here and i am still no closer to deciding. I did like the sound of burns untill i got to the posts about the dust, neither of my dogs will eat food that i have added water to so i wouldnt be able to add water to reduce the dust.

Thank you Debbie

I have 4 labs, and changed to Autarky around 4 months ago, all did well on it. I slowly changed over to raw for the older 2 labs, and the puppy are on Autarky for breakfast plus two meals of raw per day, pups are 5 months and in a couple of weeks will be on a completely raw diet. Its cheaper, they love it and are doing great on it, less poo and easier to clean up. Also the 2 black labs coats are shining a blue black.

I found the ingredients in Nutro natural to be better then Euk/Iams and my dogs love it and not much poo....The food may work for one dog doesn't mean it will work like that with yours...Just a matter of finding what works best for yours :)

i dont want to sound thick but what do you actually give your dogs? In an average day?
- By debbienash [gb] Date 13.07.04 16:40 UTC
Hi Katy.
They get fed their breasfast and dinner which is eukanuba, both are on 200g a day. They arn't allowed anything else.

Will they not eat Naturediet?
- By debbienash [gb] Date 13.07.04 16:58 UTC
Hi Tohme.
I haven't tryed it, infact i haven't even heard of it. We only have 2 pet stores near us and they only stock hills, euk, jwb and choice.

If nature diet is good and i can buy online i would be happy to try it. Do you know if they have a website?

Thanks Debbie

http://www.naturediet.net/index.html

Not sure if they deliver but they do have lists of stockists; as it is vacuum packed it keeps for months if not opened and only contains meat, carrots, rice and bone.

regards

We feed Burns and Naturdiet.  Tohme did make a good point on a previous thread about the dust.  it is not a huge amount and is probably because they dont use loads of binding ingredients.  Anyway my dogs love it and mixed with a bit of naturediet they dont notice the dust.
