Hi could any body give me some advice on what type of collar and lead i should buy for showing my 6mth old staffordshire bull terrier bitch puppy.I have been to a few shows but never checked out the puupies being shown.Thanks WILL.

why dont you join the Board- there are a number of Staffy owners on board- myself included.
Staffys are shown on the leather lead and collar ( usually with nickle/brass decorations) or pups on the half checks and a thin lead. Its personal preference and what feels comfortable to hold.
Take a look here and scroll into show sets. They are really nice but a little more expensive than some.

Lots of people on the board who show and a few Staffie owners too. Lots of help and advice on hand too, and you never know you may even see a few of us at shows; Stafford or otherwise.

Hi Lel,I have now joined.My puppies Name is Kelinvyre Keepsake and her pet name is Electra.Her Mother is Kelinvyre Remember Me and Her Fathers Name Is Crumkill King Of the Bay At Ryantha.Thanks for the information on the collar and leads i am going to get them from the Dragon Manufacturing link you gave me as they are a very good price.I will have to get it before next saturday as this is when her first show is The Potteries SBTC Champ Show.

Good luck for next week Will- Im not going to that one. The Potteries usually has a good turn out and is a nice venue.

Now you're asking it's the Staffordshire Bull Terier Collar shop opposite the TSB bank and libary in high street Wednesbury - oh God now I've forgotten anyway a friend lives just down the road I'll ring and ask him tonight. Let you know tomorrow, well worth going to as his show collar and lead sets made on handmade are about £20 or so. And I muct say I have never had one wear out or anything. I have changed them but for a different "design" no other reason.

I have 3, Toesy a red dog 16 months, his mother Ruby who's 4yrs and Rio a tiger brindle bitch 9 months.
I show Toesy and Rio. I'm not at the Potteries (son's birthday party) but like Lel says its a good venue. Good luck with your pup.
I'm not at Notts and Derby on that Saturday either, (good luck to you and Lel) but I am at Leeds Champ show on the Sunday, are you entered in that one.
