Hi everyone,

My one pup is now 2 weeks old and doing well. This is about another breed that is new to me.She happened to come in season around the time the one pup had whelped. I guess i'm not suppose to mention what breed. i've heard a couple of people mention with this breed that if she stopped bleeding after the mating that's a good sign. In my other breed it is meaningless. is there any truth to that? also, she was bred on days 10,12 and 14.very successful breedings. i brought her home today day 15 and she is flagging and shoving herself at all my nuetered males! does she have issues? :) I'm wondering if this is just the norm for this breed I hope we still hit the right days.

Only time will tell, some bitches will stand right to the end of their seasons, some like mine witll stand for the male for a certain length of time, but will continue to flirt this way with the other bitches until the end (and after) their season has finished.  Only time witll tell if you got the days right, but with 3 matings like you have had you should have had a chance for ripe sperm to e around when there are ripe eggs if she ovulated between days 8 and 16.  As there should be viable sperm there until at least day 18.

Mine wouldn't stand even when the time was right, although she flirted like mad with him!

last sept my bitch had a mating on day 9 but on day 10 she stopped bleeding and just seemed to close up,we took her back on day 11 and they just about managed another mating, however id take it as a good sign as she had a litter of  9 and im sure shed taken from first mating on day 9,good luck, angie
