Hi all, does anyone know if you need one of those ticket/slip things to take your dog out of Durham County show? Because I am sure i recieved one throught the post and i went to have a look in the envelope yesterday and I am not sure if I did get one or not because it isnt there.

Hi, no, exit passes not needed, it is just an open show.  they have supplied entrance tickets to the show so you dont have to pay the admission fee, and you will need the car park pass so you dont get parked in the wrong area.  Apparently this year the dog show is in an area by th elake, seperate from the main show, so you will need an "pass-out" stamp when leaving the dog show if you want to go inot the main show.
bye

We are going to the companion on Saturday but apart from where it is I don't know any of the details. What time does the CDS start, how much and what classes are there? What other things can we look at, if the weather is ok that is!!
Hope someone can help me!

Hi, just dug my schedul out - judging starting at 12 noon - entries from 11.15.  Judge Hazel Abraham
Pedigree classes: AV puppy,  AV Gundog, Working, Pastoral,  AV Hound & Terrier,  AV Utility & Toy,  AV Open.

The fun classes are Junior Handling, Adult handling, Best Companion Dog, Best Veteran, Best Crossbreed, Best Short Coated Dog, Best Long coated Dog, Waggiest Tail, Saddest Eyes, Best Condition, Dog judgle would most like to take Home.

Hope that helps.  Not sure how car parking and entrance fee to show will work for the companion show - I presume they will be using the site for the Open Show on the Sunday, which is apparently apart a little way form the main show ground.  As ther are no passes etc I think you may end up being parked quite along way away, if the parking is like last year, so it might be hard to get dog trolleys etc in.

bye

Thanks Gwen, I usually just enter the pedigree classes but if the weathers ok and I fancy staying a bit longer I've always wanted to go in for some novelty classes, especially waggiest tail-more like waggiest body in Chloe's case!!
You don't happen to know who judge the companion show at Lanchester do you? I would like to keep a record of all the judges who we have entered under.
I suppose parking depends on the weather too, the worse the weather the better the parking-then if it's really bad at least you can sit in the car with the heater on!! Don't you just love our summers?!!
Good luck for the open on Sunday

Hi, very easy to find, especially coming from Teeside!  come North up the A19, take the  slip road exit for the A183,  to the roundabout, and then take the first exit (marked toward Chester Le Street)  As you look up to your right you will see Penshaw Monument on the hill, the show field is directly under the monument, on your left.  It is about a mile from the roundabout.

bye
