Does anyone else use Sterzac powder?  At least, when I say use, I suppose I mean keep in stock, just in case.  I always have a tin in my whelping kit, in case of any problems with the cords/umbilical area dew claws etc.  Noticed today my tin is just about out of date so called at chemists for a replacement, and was horrifed to find it has been discontinued!  My friendly pharmacist is away on holiday for the WHOLE SUMMER, and the locum had no idea if there was an equivalent producet, but did not think so.  Anyone know of something else I can use, they suggested wound dressing powder, but I am dubious.

Oh no! I always like to have some in. I'll ask my neighbour (a GP) what they use instead.

I understand there is a very similar product (used by Midwives) called CX Powder.  It's available from Adams Healthcare (0113 320 066).

Admin: Just like to say that I have no connection with Adams Healthcare or any similar organisation!
