I have a bitch who is in whelp, puppies due in 2 weeks.  For the past couple of weeks she has had blood in her urine - but only around once per day and not every time she wees.  Blood is kindof gelatinous.  As she is quite heavily pregnant I am reluctant to get her into the car as she is quite big and it would be stressful for her.   Last year she had a urine infection and kept weeing every few minutes.  However, she doesnt do this now.  Would this be as a result of her pregnancy or could it be another urine infection ? Obviously I dont want the puppies to pick up anything.  Can anyone advise ?

Go to the vet, please.  Get her checked out, I would hate anything to happen to either her or her pups this late in pregnancy, this has just happened with my girl and we have just lost a litter of 9 pups at 7 weeks gestation :-(

She might have cystitis, but whatever it is, it needs to be looked out now rather than later.
