Hi Britney, do you know the details of the natural dog food company breeders scheme ?
thanks

I rang them for more details of there food this afternoon 01252 849756 the chap explained all there food,we have pups and I asked about the protein he said to add veg to up the levels for pups, he was very BARF minded but offer an alternative, I was feeding mostly barf but when we are away my daughter that is vegatarian will not touch meat for the dogs so we needed an alternative, he said that they did not do the breeders orders over the internet but just ring and order over phone and it is delivered to the door. we tried the sample and they all liked it, just wanted other opionions if anyone is using it

do you know the ingredients, it is a bit vague on their website.

33% chicken only human grade, 33% carbs and 33%Veg, ring him and have a word he seems genuine, works with Dorwest herb suppliers he said.So I thought I would bee if anyone had used it It says that it is a certified Holistic product

Forgot to say that when used for pups he said to add nature diet ( I think that the one in the sealed packs that you can get from pets at home, he said that was more natural
Does it have the Holistic Society certification stamp on the bag since some companies are saying their product is 'certified holistic' but unless it has the Holistic Society stamp onthe bag you cannot be certain that it is. Also how do they know that the chickens have been fed an holistic diet! I use an holistic mixer and it does have the Holistic certification stamp on the bag.

It has the holistic Societ certification on the paper workthat I have received from them, The chap recommended the BARf diet, first and formost and he said that would be the idea diet, did stress this when he spoke to me, he said that this was the close alternative, or could be used in conjunction with barf.It the letter that came with the sample says "We welcome enquiries about our raw materials and any otheraspects of our product" From what he said this was the only truely holistic dog food available, I tried the sample with my most fussy eater and she downed it straight away, just a small amout, I am seriously temped to buy some 2 15kg mimimum to get the breeder price.
They also offer talks to Dog Clubs and similar groups on Holistic feeding, you also get a voucher for £3 off your first order.
I would feel better about ordering if I knew someone had tried it and had some results

I spoke to them this morning, and everything he says just really makes sense to me. I have bought 2 bags so I will let you know how i get on. I am still going to add nature diet for the pup, and also give them a RMB once a week. Seems like all the benefits of natural feeding, with little effort...too good to be true it sounds, but trying it can do no harm. He said their product has been around for a year and trialled extensively with excellent results. He said ultimately the body heals itself by not overloading it with uneccessary by-products and synthetic ingredients, things allergy related etc like coat condition, digestive disorders the list could go on.

Yes I can confirm that the "All in one" Holistic dog food has the Bahmn seal of approval stamp on the bags, and a complete write up about it. I've been using this food alongside Raw, with my dogs and they just love it, even the fussy lad I have. I also use Burns Venison and Autarky and the fussy lad loves all three brands, which has never been heard of before, I'd recommend any of the above three companies. I to buy direct from Natural dog food company " All in one" and get it at £24.00 a bag, minimum order is two bags.

So would this food be on par with burns or better ?

Personally I would say they are as good as one another, I've had the same results from both foods with the Sharpei. I also add a little lamb and rice nature diet to the kibble, about an inch strip from the tub, I do this with both products and find I haven't had any problems with the digestion, or their poo's...LOL. Their coats are in the best condition since I first bought my first sharpei 10 years ago. I do use RMB and chicken wings daily to.
What I should also remind you, is that the "All in one food", only comes in the chicken variety, not like Burns with several varieties.

when i spoke to the compaany this morning and I mentioned Burns, he said they are still adding synthetic vitamins, minerals. And that TNFC use a variety of cereal for carbohydrate as opposed to Burns who only use rice. They also add vegetables and herbage, burns add peas. They are comparable though in that they do not use the by-products that are in alot of other commercial foods, with lots of vitamins added for nutrition...JMHO

Hi
Just thought I would post my findings on the All in one from the natural food company, forgive me if it wasn't you that asked me what I thought....
Well, I have used 2 15kg bags so far , on two dogs.
At first it seemed to go straight through them and their poos were much larger than on the nature diet. My initial reaction was blow it I'll go back to nature diet. But I rang them and they advised me to introduce the food much slower and increase every 3-4 days, if they didn't tolerate the increase then go back to the amount they had tolerated for a few more days and then try again.(hope you get the picture) This i did, and in the mean time posted on CD to get opinions but on this occasion decided to listen the company because I trusted what he was saying and he told me a lot about nutrition which made sense.
We are getting there now, one dog is on the food exclusively and poos size and formation is back to normal, she was out of coat too and it is coming back really soft, she has lost a little weight but looks firm and fit.
The other one who is quite sensitive digestion wise is on one meal all-in-one and the other nature diet, and is stable with this. She also hadn't had her first season which since feeding the all-in-one for about a month she finally came in.( coincidence maybe) But when I spoke to them about her and she was the worst for not tolerating the dry foods he thought that this could be linked.....(I leave an open mind about these things).
I am currently introducing my five month old puppy on to it, who is rather fussy, but he eats it for lunch quite happily, and has nature diet for the other two meals.
If you are still considering using it then I hope these findings are helpful.
Michelle

Thank you very much, I think that I will try it with the 2 pups that I have kept from the bordeaux litter. and see what results we get with them.
