Just had to share my excitement as couldn't contain it anylonger!!! Only 4 days until I purchase a new puppy! I chose him 3 weeks ago and its dragged by, now its sooooo close and i can't wait! But i know after a week of pee and poo all over etc i'll be screaming for them to take him back lol. And my husband comes back from his 2 months detatchment in Basra in 2 weeks!!!! YEY!

What breed is your pup?? Dont worry about the mess too much ... just get yourself a good carpet cleaner :D I'm sure if you start toilet training as soon as possible puppy will be as good as gold :D Hope you enjoy the little chap and let us know how it goes! Whats his name?

He's an Akita, we will be calling him Raven. He is currently black and white although he will probably turn deep red

Now this may be a totally stupid question but if he is black and white why would he turn deep red?

Akita's change colour so much in the first year of their lives. Usually you find when they blow their coat and re-grow etc their colour changes slightly too.

If it changes slightly then how does it get from Black and White to deep red? the very idea is fascinating :)

Its just something that happens within the breed. He will either go red or silver and white. I'll be pleasantly suprised if he stays black white. If you want to PM me with your email i can email you pics of pups then pics of the same dog aged 1 year.

HE'S HERE!!!!! Yey! New puppy home safe and sound yesterday. soooooooooo cute

Hi akita_lover congrats on the new pup and hubby coming home, I pick up my new puppy on sunday and my hubby comes back from Canada tomorrow after a 6 week exercise so we all have loads to celebrate !!  :-) ....

i have another week and a half till the hubby comes home, but puppy is making up for it lol. He's beautiful!
