I have a special birthday party next week with lots of people coming. Can anyone suggest a really nice recipe for punch. Not too expensive and not with too many different spirits in. I did a really nice one years ago based on sherry but cant remember what went in.
Cheers
Sue

I asked the exact same question a fw months ago, before my 21st birthday.  So if you do a search on Punch recipes I think you will come up with the suggestions I received!  Have a good time :D

Until you manage to find the thread your looking for here are a couple that I like to use:

Sangria:  a couple of bottles of red wine, a good splosh of triple sec, another good splosh of tequilla, topped up with lemonade and loads of orange, lemon, lime and anyother fruit you wish to add to it.

Woo Woo:  Normally (I mean in pubs) made by the pitcher but can also be made as a punch - liberal sloshes of vodka and peach schnapps mixed with cranberry juice and orange juice and add what ever fruit you wish to add!!

Hayley's Special (only discovered last weekend)!!  2 x bottles of Smirnoff Ice, large splosh of vodka, large splosh of brandy and top up with redbull and lemonade and with some slices of lemon - very nice!!

Hope this helps - if you need some good hangover cures please don't hesitate to ask!!! ;-)

Think it must have been on Idle Chat so it's been deleted.
But here are two good cocktail websites:
www.cocktailmaking.co.uk and www.cocktailuk.com
Had some vodka jelly at the weekend with strawberries and raspberries in it!  So much vodka in it, it was almost inedible, but certainly livened up the party! :D

Also try

www.webtender.com

I used this site frequently when I used to work in a cocktail bar.  It's fantastic, my personal fave being a green demon (1 part vodka, 1 part white rum and one part midori, mixed with lemonade).  Yum!
