Hello,
I've been feeding barf for a few months now, and they all used to eat anything I gave them, Now 2 of them seem to be getting fussy. Toesy still seems to eat anything and everything, but Rio who was just as good an eater is turning her nose up at things like liver and kidney. I have just given them their tea, which is cut up kidney, Toesy ate his but Rio and Ruby just sniffed and walked away. Ruby just doesn't entertain it at all, (can't remember if she's ever eaten it) Rio picks it up then seems to spit it out. I've tried feeding it to her, she takes every bit into her mouth but spits it out. (she's definitely eaten it before).
should I just give them something else, and try giving the kidney another time.
Is there something I could do with it to make it more appealing, I think it might be the texture they don't like. Does anyone have similar problems, I don't want to cut it out of the diet, as they need offal.
I put some liver in the blender with the veg last time, and they ate that, is that ok to do.
I'm eager for any tips.
Mitch.

Don't know anything about feeding as you are but if they won't eat kidney it can't do them any good, so I would drop that from the menu. Think to much offal is not good for dogs anyway so try heart instead which is a muscle meat and not, I don't think, classed as offal and it does not have the high concentrations of whatever vitamins or minerals liver and kidney and sweetmeats have.
