As some of you know I am keeping one of my puppies she is a black and tan cavalier king charles spaniel the family is split on her name 2 like India and 2 like Tara ..............come on you decide ???
- By spaniel-lover [gb] Date 06.07.04 15:46 UTC
I like Tara-very like my own real name! :D
- By Jackie H [gb] Date 06.07.04 16:20 UTC
Tara is an easier call name, try it, India would be shortened to Indi to allow you to call the dog.
- By LF [gb] Date 06.07.04 16:56 UTC
Oh, it has to be Tara!!!!  That was the name of my very first dog, an English Springer, and she was an absolute gem of a dog :)  Jackie is right, you would end up shortening India to Indi!  But Tara is a superb name - go for it :D

they are right there is no way to shorten Tara :D

Strange world isn't it Inca, having asked the question on here everyone goes for Tara and the same question on another forum everyone has gone for India. Have to say I like India best but it is not a practical calling name and you will call her Indi, mind you if you like Indi then why not.

I have an Indi. when she's really naughty she's IndiA, don't know why, but it gets her attention !!
- By LJS Date 06.07.04 19:55 UTC
Same with the two legged version we have ! :D Indi is what she is called most of the taime but INDIGO when we need to get her attention ! ;)

Lucy

Guess what I am voting for :D

It has to be Tara, we called one of daisy pups that last time and she was adorable!!

just to say I have twin girls, and would you believe, one is called India, and the other Tara!!!!!  How weird is that??? Tara gets called Ty ty, and Indie is either Indianna, or Dee Dee.....

theres a dog in obedience with the name indi, his show name is "Rockin indi-go",
hes a blue merle so i think it really suits him
- By michelled [gb] Date 07.07.04 14:15 UTC
also i think indi would suit a naughty type of puppy, while tara would suit a more angelic type......?
- By inca [gb] Date 07.07.04 14:50 UTC

I have an Indi but when she is naughty she is called INDIANA, we chose her name after Indiana Jones which suits her extremly well, as she is always bringing in stones and old bits of wood and treasures she has sniffed out in the garden or whilst out on walks, she has quite a collection now.
- By jazzywoo Date 10.07.04 08:44 UTC
