My 18 month old cavalier has suddenly become obsessed with chasing shadows. Has anyone else experienced this in the breed?  We moved house a few months ago during which he was quite unsettled but after a few weeks settled down.  For the last 6 weeks or so he has become obsessed with chasing shadows (not his own but shadows created by objects or people).  He becomes very detacted and calling his name does not snap him out of it.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?  Treats, play and affection only work temporarily and he becomes distracted again.  Even when he is out for walks he runs round us chasing our shadow.
