I recently went to see a Papillon dog puppy, but the pup I saw was a 'phalene'.
Can anyone give me more information about them. Is this a breed in its own right, or is it classed as a papillon but with moth ears instead of butterfly ears.

I don't see the breeders name on the list supplied in the website.

Can anyone help?

Hello Guest

A phalene is as you said, a Papillon with drop ears.  They are classed as one breed.
If you want to p/m me I can check the name of the person for you and give you any further information you may require of them.

I have a Papillon bitch that produced the top winning Phalene bitch we have seen to date, so yes most definitley the same breed, just a case of preference I would think.
Dawn.
