we are on day 62 today and her temperature was 99 an hour ago, is this a drop from normal, this is the first time i have taken it.  I will take it again later, but would like to know if it IS on it's way down?

Hi Emma, temperatures fluctuate anyway under normal cicumstances, so if you have only taken it once it's not possible to tell if it's on the way down. I checked Lily's temp morning and night for the last week, so I had something to go on. My pups were born on day 64, and the temp dropped from 37.9 to 36.5 in the last 24 hours. (I just looked up my notes) and I kept lots of notes. I have the time of each birth, with a brief description of the puppy and it's weight. They were weighed daily till they were14 days old. Then twice a week till thet were too big for the scales.I have notes on when each one opened their eyes, and when the buff gained her pigmentation. Also I kept a worming record too. It's lovely to look back on and remember.

Emma is busy :-)  it all happened this morning, I'm sure she will be in touch soon, sorry can't mention any details or I'll be in trouble with admin ;-)

Understand that things are now ok after a bit of trauma let's hope you will have time to let us know what happen soon

thank you for your concern everyone, she had a section at 6am this morning, we lost the 1st male through normal birth (with a lot of vet help) and then had 4 more boys and 3 girls from the section, Mum and pups are doing well, smallest is 10.20 oz and the biggest is 12.15 oz. She has taken to motherhood wonderfully considering the section.

Admin all pups have homes so this is NOT an advert :)

Glad you are over the worse worry and now onto the hard work ;)
