Could someone describe to me dogs flanks and where abouts are they. I know its a strange question!!!!

The flank is just in front of the back leg on the low side of the body, behind the rib cage. Hope this helps.:)

Hi woomeg,the flanks are as has already been said,behind the ribcage and in front of the thigh,if you are asking for the reason i think you are?Yes the bitch,especially if a maiden, should fill out in this area first,usually by 5/6 weeks.
