Hi
Can anybody tell me can dog excretia (poop and urine) stain real wood floors or get into the grain if not cleared up in time?  How do you protect your floors whilst toilet training?
thanks

Yes it can stain the floors if it gets in the gaps. The liquid will swell the wood also.

Not got a great answer except keep it dry. You could put plastic or something down underneath if you are paper training. Sorry not much else to offer.

I don't have wood floors but many dog folk do so hopefully someone will be along soon
I would imagine it wouldn't stain if it was cleared up straight away as for gettting between the grooves of the floor I would imagine
you would have to keep cleaning cloth in hand

It is just part of the patina of age!

Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't  - I think it depends on how much they have drunk and how dilute the wee is.

I have a mop and bucket on permanent stand-by :)
