i read in posts about safe toys...as in leaving safe toys in a crate for pup!!...what are safe toys???? many thanks for replies

Nylabones or kongs for starters- ensuring you fill the kong with suitable titbits of course and nothing that could be choked on :)

Kongs are great as they are designed to be safe to leave with the dog to chew :) Always remove any chew toy eg nulabone once it starts to get down to a couple of inches as the dog may swallow it otherwise. I tend to take off collars if dogs are left in crates as i have heard of one or two pups getting caught by their collar.
