Hi all
We are going to pick up our new pup on wednesday, she is a 9 week old bullmastiff.
What do you think would be the best way to introduce her to our 7 month old lab? I thought just bring her in and leave them to it (under a watchfull eye of corse). My lab is fantastic with other dogs and the new bully has been reared with other dogs aswell so i am not to worried, just looking for advice on the best way for them to meet.
Also it is a 2hour drive to pick her up and i was wondering are all pups sick on the way home in a car, my brother in law is driving us in his new car and he is rather concerned about a mess, i am going to cover the back seat with an old blanket and i will carry her on a my lap. Should i take water for her to drink on the way back or will she be ok untill we get home?

God i didn't realise that i had so many questions lol.

I'm so excited

Thanks Debbie

Oh dear, just thought of another question, the breeder has been calling her blondie and we don't want to call her that, will it be a problem changing her name?

Thanks Debbie

Not a problem at all. Why not phone the breeder and tell her what you'll be calling the pup and she can make a start at renaming her? If you haven't decided yet, no matter. It'll only take her a couple of days to get used to the new 'noise', especially as she'll be getting all the individula attention, and the new 'noise' will only be associated with nice things - food, cuddles etc.
:)
