I wonder if anyone can give me some quick advice. We bought a puppy yesterday he is 8 weeks old and he just managed to eat some cat food which we hadnt realised the cat had left. Now puppy is pacing about and cant seem to settle. Should I do anything is this going to harm him. I feel very worried. Katy. kjabradbury@hotmail.com

You've only had him one day so he won't settle straight away.  It's more likely that he's not used to his surroundings rather than him eating the cat food.  I would try and not let him eat the cat food again though :d

Oh its so scary getting a new pup home isn't it?  I certainly worried about every little thing for weeks.  I found this site a great help as everyone here, more or less, has been through the same thing.

It can take a good couple of weeks for your new pup to settle in, and don't feel bad about the cat food thing, even after 2 years of practice my little monkey manages to catch me off guard now and again with the cat food.
