I'm looking after someones dog and she's asked me to show her at Blackpool for her,  does anybody know what time import register is in tomorrow for Gundog day?  I'm also going to have to phone up shortly as they haven't rec'd the passes!!! :d  She even told me the wrong day too so I was nearly going to end up going a day late.

Ehh some people :d  My friends are more dizzy than me.

They're not my dogs, I'm going because a friend has had to go into hospital, at least I know their pass numbers now fortunately!!

Well what a beautiful day it was!!  It poured it down all day and my dogs are a lovely shade of black and brown now!!  Got a second and even though it was cold and wet for some reason I still enjoyed it :d

Well done, especially well earned when won in the wet.  Whats the venue like? going tomorrow can I expect a lot of mud.

Not only lots of mud (cars were sliding all over getting out) but great stretches of lying water, if you wanted to watch anything round the BIS ring your had to paddle, and the entrances to the Benching/wet weather tents were like small ponds!  they will porbably put straw or something down for tomorrow (I hope)  Wet weather accom. was very short on space - Weims ending up taking over our grooming area - quite a sight, a ring full of Weims, flanked by a whole load of Am. cockers and Springs in crates and x-pens, all along the back of the ring!
bye

hi thought we might just go along and watch the show today,is there an addmission fee or anything?
emma
edit: and can i take my dog with us??
- By Jackie H [fr] Date 27.06.04 08:55 UTC
There is usualy a small entry fee, you can't take the dog in but if there is a tent outside the show for un-entered dogs you can leave it there for a small fee. Most Championship shows have a tent for such dogs but a few do not.

Try getting a cage on wheels with 2 medium dogs across the ground!! It was fine in the mud but when they put the sand over the muddy bits it just sunk :d  I've got muscles in my back and shoulders now which I never knew existed.  So funny watching the Afghan owners carrying their dogs to the ring in the pouring rain.

Well just back from Blackpool and enjoying a coffee. Came back with nothing :-(   There was 17 in MP so it was a really good turn out and all nice bitches, judge was really goo also, very fair I don't mind losing when I come home and feel that at least I've had a good crack at the whip.
Mud was not too bad today, they had put sand down and apart from the entrance it was passable and best of all the rain stayed away and for the best part the sun shone, tired but relatively happy.
Hope everyone else had a good day- well done if you won
