When I was a kid I had two Afghans and a Bichon (all male) One of the Afghans was cream and people used to say "ah is that his mum" about the Bichon or "ah is that their puppy" er no der .......... they are all boys and they are totally different breeds

I also used to get the "whose walking who", but that was when I was about 6 years old and was only a little bit taller than my Afghan :)

people who pick up their little dog when they see a larger dog coming. then they think you have a problem dog when it trys to jump up to sniff the little one in their arms.
don't they understand that this is one of the worse things that they can do.as the dog will come to them if there is a dog in their arms.
also if it is higher it becomes a dominance  issue between the canines.this often makes the situtation worse and the little dog more snappy.

I really hate it when people think my Siberian huskies are wolves. Last year I took my red and white girl and her best friend, a solid white Husky, to a Fourth of July celebration. Kids kept coming up and asking if they could pet our wolves. I didn't mind this because one, they were little kids and didn't know what a real wolf was and two because they were politely asking if they could pet our dogs. But what really drove me nuts was grown people talking about our "wolves"!! "Oooh, look at that white wolf! I've never seen a brown and white wolf like that, she's pretty!"

Another thing, when we arrived at this July 4th celebration, we were behind a couple of people with a little terrier dog. A police officer was letting people in and didn't say a word about their little dog. But when my friend and I approached with our huskies, he looked at them and asked if they were dangerous. Of course we polietly explained that they were pure bred Siberian huskies and so had no wolf in them, but inside we were fuming! Breed discrimination, right there. *sigh* I'll go feed my wolves now... :D

Whose walking who really annoys me,
People who cross the street when they see use walking ,
People who dont pick up after their dogs,
People who cant pronounce(sp) the t in later and water
Kids drinking down the park and breaking their bottles where we walk our dogs rather than put them in the bin which is less than 2feet away from where they sit,
Gosh I am a whinging old bag.

One of my personal pet hates is dog walkers who criticize people for crossing the street when they see their dogs coming towards them
Are you just making an *assumption* that others see your dogs as dangerous/aggressive etc... maybe they do and so what? that's their lookout.  But THINK as well that they might be not like, be allergic or fearful of dogs.  Whether you have the friendliest dog in the country respect the right of people to avoid it if they want to.  We all have our personal dislikes and fears.
And if anyone crosses the road when they do just to see what they do next then you have my utmost contempt.
