Someone told me that cold water is bad for dogs. I was wondering in the summer time when every day it is 95 and goes up over 100 degrees F, if i can giive my pup cold water. I know it is bad for horses but now I'm not shure about dogs.

Most dogs do not like water fresh drawn from the tap and will wait till it is stood awhile and by that time it will not be that cold. I just draw water and put it on the floor as they empty the bowl so I would not think it could or would cause to much trouble. Have even put ice into it if it is very hot and in the winter they will eat as much ice and snow as they can. Only had trouble with a very old boy who ate too much ice and had to be warmed up with blankets and a heat lamp. So to answer your question I would forget about it, just one more thing to worry about, just enjoy the pup.

My dogs won't touch their water unless it is fresh cold right out of the tap, in the summer I give them ice and cold water out of the fridge :)
