Newfies are a GIANT breed, they are also very hard work, grooming at least one a week, a bath every 4-6 weeks, then there is the mess, slobber, mud, etc.  They are demanding in many ways but especially your time.

Please do some research before you even consider aproaching a breeder.  Go and see some adults and talk to owners - they are not the breed for every one and only for the fanatic - by that i mean it takes someone very special to own be owned by one!

PS i have 3!!!

My Sister owned one that was over 13 stone, but the average is around 11. They still tread on your feet and think they are lap dogs, your walls will never be clean below the 4 foot level and the house will always smell like a shower curtain. Well it will if you let them live their normal life.

We have a landseer male that was 12 stone plus last time we could weigh him, when they shed there coats they do it big time not just bits here and there, with all of mine if there is water they will be in it, even rolling on the dew off the grass, megans party piece is to get as wet as possible then run in the kitchen and shake, our kitchen walls are now tiled halfway up to make cleaning easier, they are a complete knew way of life
