the hospital phoned me today they have asked me to go in tomorrow, it has come as a shock as they had made me an apointment for two months time, but apparantly they did not like the blood samples etc they took from me, and they want me in tomorrow and they told me to expect a hystorectomy sorry if i spelt it wrong.
I knew i was not well but this came as a bit of a shock, so after i have wrote this off shopping to  make sure every one has got enough food in and clothes are clean and  to write a list of how the dogs are fed the kids can fend for themselves LOL good job the chinese is across the road.
I have to admit i am frightened.
But there again they might just give me some tablets and chuck me back out with any luck.
just had to get this off my chest, oh god will have to go to tescos i need a nightie speak to every one soon.

back from shopping got the obligatory nightie, hubby laughing at it, loads of support there, i have him worried though as i told the lady on the phone at the hospital if they are not operating till monday i am not stopping in hospital over the weekend, as i have Blackpool champ show to go to on the sunday, hubby says, but what if you become worse, i can't get any worse, been bleeding for months so what will two more days make.
going to finish watching the match and then off to try and get a  little bit of sleep, just hope the brain can switch off worrying.

Good luck for tomorrow, I had this operation years ago, you will feel so different once you get back on your feet. When you get home, just relax and let everyone else do things for you, dont try and do to much too soon.

I had a hysterectomy when I was 33 and although I was very nervous and didn't sleep the  night before almost discharged myself from hospital etc.,  I have never regretted it for one minute, the best days work I've ever done.  My friend is now going through some of the same problems I had back then and although I don't say anything I wish she would go see her GP, this may be drastic action but often necessary.  Good luck to you and your family will be doing everything for you for the next few weeks so lap it up!  Take it easy and you will be fine.

I do sympathise as I am going in on the 16th of next month to have a endrometrial resection which is the removal of the lining of the womb. My Gyno has said he would prefer me to have this done rather than a full hysterectomy as he says it is less invasive. I must admit I am not looking forward to it as I have got to have a full general which I don't want as I really do not suit anaesthetics(sp?) as I am normally very sick afterwards but hopefully they will give me something for that !

Hope it all goes well with you as I am sure you will be fine and will be up and about in no time ;)

hi Lucy
I have had the op you're going for twice, it works with 85% of people but obviously not with me so now i'm for the big chop!!if its any consolation this op is very simple and i ws pin free afetrwrds although groggy for days after the anaesthetic!!good luck!!

Hi yes the success rate for the procedure is about 95% and it also depends on when they do it in your cycle on how successful it will be.

I have a friend that has had the op done twice and has failed so she is having to go for the full hysterectomy as well.

Do hope all goes well for you !

well i am back home, they had a look and said i have an uniditified mass, inside my womb, and they said that i had to come back on the 8th july and i am being put to sleep not litterelly but they need to have a better look, then on the 15th july they said the final decision would be made, and it will be better if they can sort me out between bleeds don't know how as i am bleeding all the time.
so i am repreeved until the 15th july.
