i have a 31/2 year old dobermann bitch, the vet has just informed me she may well have a cyst on her overies, and would like to leave her the now and see later on if she needs treatment, what could happen without treatment, will this cause her any pain, she is also over weight have cut her food down but the weight is not shifting could this cyst have anything to do with her weight, husband took her to the vet and never asked any questions.

I don't know if it's the same for dogs, but my sister had polycystic ovaries and it caused her to put on a lot of weight that she just couldn't shift.
