CAN DOGS BE INFECTED WITH SCABIES?

Yes. Scabies is the name for the disease called 'Sarcoptic mange' in dogs. It is commonly passed on by foxes (a very good reason to discourage them from gardens etc). It is treatable, but usually hard work to eradicate.

...Also. zoonotic I believe - which basically means you can catch it too, female scabies mites burrow under the skin where they lay their eggs.  They particularly like it between the fingers and the genital area (so I'm told )
