are there any household things safe for puppies to play with ie, rolled up newspaper ,thick plastic bottles, baby teething toys?just thought it gives them so much to think about and will stimulate the brain without the house looking like a pet toy shop.s baxter. i trust there`s not a post limit per day as i seem to have posted loads today.:)

101 things to do with a cardboard box
I would avoid baby's teething toys, dogs jaws are stronger than babies, they tend to have more teeth too........................
Newspapers are great for shredding
If you feed dried food you can hide it or sprinkle on grass
Fill a kong with titbits
Toilet roll tubes
The possibilities are endless

single pinter bottles from the likes of Asda :) newspapers as mentioned, old teddies ( checking for the filling and no beads for eyes etc) - OLD shoes :)
Libbys current favourite is pegs when they fall off the line ! (have to take the metal clip out of course) :)

i work in a photolab,& the middle of the paper rolls are brilliant, like larger thicker bogroll middles! if you have a lab/shop locally ask if they will save you a couple.(they are also good for alternative retreive articles!)

My pups have always enjoyed killing the plastic two-litre cola bottles (caps removed) and a coconut!

Be careful letting them rip up paper, my mum always let her dog and now she shreds the post as soon as it comes through the door - I made sure I changed my address for everything asap after I moved and she ate the updates which were sent through for one of my exams
