Well as you all know Megs babies are due tomorrow from 1st mating,ive never been told a 100% that she is,Now as far as i can make out and ive checked with other breeders that Meg is showing signs of having alitter,she started at 1am with runny bottom,then this mornin she was sick only bile,shes been sleeping on and off all day,is there anyone that their bitch does this?

Welcome to the waiting game! My puppies came yesterday (day 69). The first sign she gave me was when I found her lying in the closet. Then she started panting....(she panted for almost 24 hours). But they are all different. She threw up only one time. She slept almost constantly for about 3 days beforehand. Her water didn't break until about an hour before the pups came. Are you monitoring her temperature?

We are day 65..... we have had daily discharge since monday. SAw the vet today for check up and she said the discharge is the cervix prepairing for labour.

My bitch panted for days on end and is only just showing signs of stopping.  After a long day of nothing she gave one push and out popped a pup!

My last bitch caught me out this way sleeping all day I thought na nothing happening tonight ------- hmm 2am I am awoken by the sound of frantic licking only to find mum and pup our suckling with placenta still to be delivered on the dog bed in my bedroom.

This latest bitch I've whelped for a friend kept us all on tender hooks for a wk runny bottom one day, vomiting the next, panting another but in the end she just went to the whelping cage and started pushing no sign of any distress or digging panting etc on the actual night, unfortunately the first pup was in a bad position so she had to have a C section at midnight on a Sunday about 3 hrs after my daughter had come out of hospital with Viral Meningitis.  The bitch did beautifully but my daughter ended up back in hospital for another 8 days 36hrs later!

Hi,Just to let you all know I took Meg to get her scanned today as nothing was happening,day 66 of 2nd mating,no babbies for me this time,but shes still bagging her milk and following me everywere,so hopefully this will stop soon,just goin to let the stud dog owner know.thanx for everyones advice and hopefully it will happen nxt time,all whelping equipment has been put away for nxt time.Juliaxx
