well yesterday we got a puppy!!!
my partner brought it home its a jack russell pup! only 8 weeks - she only small but really sweet!

well now we need a name - my partner wants roxy but im unsure!!!  just got to get the dane to be really gentle cos shes small any ideas how!

Brains was really rough with Benson when we first got her (Brains was about 8 months, Benny was 8 weeks) but she eventually realised that Benson was just too small to play roughly.  If your puppy yelps the Dane should get the idea - although obviously you don't want your JRT getting hurt.  Mind you, they're very tough little dogs!

yep i know ive got me work cut out !!!!!! never even knew we were getting one till he came home with it!!!!!

we have 2 labs and a JR, we named him Bandit. He was 8 weeks when we got him and is now 6 months, and a lovely little dog. I have never used a crate before for our others but when we got bandit, because of his size we decided for his safty and so he could have some quite time that we would get a crate for him to go in for short periods when we were not there. Just watch how your dane reacts to him, and when he has had enough. They will play rough but you will be surprised how your jr gives as good as he gets. All mine get on great together and we have no need for the crate anymore. Have fun and enjoy. Good luck with the name picking it took us 2 weeks to decide.

we had a jack russell yrs ago and called him.............*drum roll*.............jacky !!!!!!!. lol.

:) :) when we got our choc labs my hubby wanted to avoid the chocy bar names although I really did like the name galaxy but we went for Blade and Cass

well you can get the names from the strangest of places.  Ours are called Jai and Kyan (Ky for short) named after two of the guys from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Living TV.  Like the program and the names just kind of fit.
