This site has information which may help. http://www.k9data.com
Kerioak in the genetics person.  She has links to many breeds as well as her own.  I'm sure that she'll help if she can when she comes along.

Sorry, can't help in this instance as no one has informed me as yet of any Golden Retriever databases

If you put the names into K9data site, you'll come up with a few.
This is Standfast Augustus

At the bottom of each page is genetic information for each dog.

Hi if you go to http://www.goldenretrievers.co.uk  -  this if the Golden Retrievers breed council, and an e-mail to them might point you in the right direction of a GR database.

hi gwen is there an american cocker spaniel pedigree database ...
- By gwen [gb] Date 21.06.04 12:08 UTC
Hi georgina, yes, quite a few, I will send you links.  However, one of the best (and most accurate) is owned by a lady in South Africa - she has over 43,000 pedigress on it!  I dont know of a UK based one, but as most of our dogs go back in the fairly recent past to imported dogs, it is not too much of a problem.

There are quite a few breed databases listed on the Pedigree Databases thread.  As links don't work on this section you can either search in "general" or do a search and put in "Akita" and "Kerioak" it was started in early May.

If anyone knows any more please feel free to add links to them if their owners are willing for this to be done.

Hi Woomeg,  How is the pedigree search coming on?  One other very important source I forgot to mention was the Breed Record Supplement.  You can get all sorts of useful info. from it, including health test results.  I had a quick look thorugh a few volumes, but didnt come up with anything directly related to your dogs.  If you want to post their reg. names or even just affix and Date of Brith (breeder surname helps too)   those of us on here who have the relevant issure of the BRS could see if any info appertaining to your dogs parents etc can be found.

Not forgetting how useful a search engine is. Type in various dogs KC names and see what information comes up.

Hi Admin,  that was the original advice on the other thread (which I now cant find, but sure it is here somewhere).  Several people have done some searching to try and find some dogs details for Woomeg, but I completely forgot to tell her about the BRS, which as a novice she is unlikely to know of.  As I understand now that this is not a matter of perhaps planning a mating, but is actually a "done deal" with the bitch possible 4 weeks in whelp, it is no longer the case of a few weeks leasiurely searching, but (I would think) an urgent requirement to find out, at the very least, the health test status of the dog and bitches parents and grandparents.
